ABOUT THE TREATMENT
PRP with BIOSOMES
SKIN REGENERATION (FACE)
PRP with BIOSOMES for the face is an advanced regenerative treatment delivered through controlled microneedling, designed to enhance skin quality at a structural level.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), derived from the patient's own blood, is rich in growth factors including PDGF, VEGF, EGF and TGF•B. These proteins stimulate fibroblast activity, promote collagen and elastin synthesis, and support tissue repair.
When combined with biosomes, the delivery and performance of these growth factors is optimised. Biosomes act as bioactive carriers, improving penetration through the microchannels created during microneedling and enhancing cellular uptake within the dermis.
Microneedling creates precise, controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering a natural repair response. The simultaneous application of PRP with biosomes allows these regenerative signals to be dellvered directly into the skin at optimal depth, amplifying collagen remodelling and improving overall skin integrity.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL
TECHNIQUE & PRODUCTS

At PRP Aesthetic Clinic, the PRP facial combines two complementary clinical modalities, (medical-grade microneedling and concentrated platelet-rich plasma), within a single, precisely choreographed session. What distinguishes our approach is the rigour applied to every stage of the protocol.

MICRONEEDLING DEVICE
We use professional-grade microneedling devices fitted with sterile, single-use cartridges. Needle depth is calibrated by treatment zone: 0.5–1.0mm for delicate periorbital regions, 1.0–1.5mm across the cheeks and forehead, and up to 2.0mm for the treatment of acne scarring. This precision creates thousands of controlled micro-channels serving a dual clinical purpose, triggering the collagen induction response and establishing optimal pathways for PRP absorption.

PRP PREPARATION
Each patient's PRP is prepared using the Rein PRP™ System (achieving 93–97% platelet recovery) or the MCT Plasma System (photobiomodulation-enhanced). The gel-free density-gradient technology eliminates contaminants commonly found in standard separator-gel kits, producing a purer, more potent concentrate for topical application to microneedled skin.

APPLICATION TECHNIQUE
PRP is applied topically immediately following microneedling, the micro-channels remain receptive for approximately 15–20 minutes, allowing growth factors (PDGF, VEGF, TGF-β, EGF) to penetrate deep into the dermis. This approach is fundamentally distinct from injectable PRP: microneedling creates thousands of delivery points across the entire treatment zone, rather than the limited number of sites achievable with injection alone.

TREATMENT AREAS
The standard protocol covers the full face. The neck, décolletage, and hands may be incorporated within the same session for comprehensive skin rejuvenation. Areas of particular clinical concern (acne scars, deep lines), receive additional passes at an increased depth.

WHAT DOES PRP TREAT?

-
ACNE SCARRING Atrophic scarring (ice pick, boxcar, and rolling types) responds particularly well to the combined collagen-induction of microneedling and PRP's concentrated growth factor delivery. Published meta-analysis data demonstrates 2.97x higher odds of significant improvement compared with microneedling alone.

-
FINE LINES AND WRINKLES PRP-stimulated collagen synthesis and progressive dermal remodelling visibly soften fine lines, particularly around the eyes, mouth, and forehead.

-
UNEVEN SKIN TEXTURE The controlled micro-injury of microneedling, combined with PRP's regenerative action, accelerates cellular turnover, replacing compromised surface cells with smoother, more uniform skin.

-
DULL OR FATIGUED COMPLEXION By promoting angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels), PRP improves oxygen and nutrient delivery to the skin, restoring a naturally radiant appearance.

-
ENLARGED PORES Progressive collagen remodelling around pore structures can reduce visible pore size across a course of treatment.

-
SUN DAMAGE ANBD PHOTO AGEING A 2024 systematic review confirmed that PRP provides meaningful protection against UV-induced skin damage and significantly enhances the repair of photoaged skin.
